The research activities of students are an important component of the learning and development process for young researchers. One way to support this activity is through participation in Junior Academy of Science. Junior Academy of Science is an educational program aimed at developing the scientific abilities of students, which combines educational activities with specialized lectures, seminars, laboratory work, and scientific projects. Participants in Junior Academy of Science have the opportunity to study science in practice, using their own knowledge and skills, and to explore topics that are interesting to them. They also become familiar with the specifics of scientific work, learn to set goals and achieve them, and develop critical thinking and creativity. Junior Academy of Science academy can be useful for students who are interested in science and want to explore new ideas. Participation in this program helps to develop scientific abilities, expand knowledge and skills in a specific scientific area, and prepare students for further scientific research and career development. 

An example of recent activity is working in the computer science section and creating a robot-manipulator using a LEGO constructor. The design and software solution is accessible to a wide audience and can be created in a short amount of time. The concept of modularity has been studied, using enough components that users can mix and match flexibly but not so many that they become overwhelmed by choice.

The model created demonstrates the operation of the simplest robot-manipulator and provides opportunities to improve and increase its executive functions through convenient software development tools. The management application is easy and accessible to use and open for updates. The layout developed is intended for small tasks and does not require significant financial costs. It allows for the automation of simple production processes while reducing physical exertion and increasing productivity. The robot is compact and operates on batteries, making it more autonomous and less tied to energy sources.

The most important system of the robot is the manipulator arm, which allows for grabbing and moving objects. It works in different positions, enabling the performance of simple actions. Working in the computer science section and creating a robot-manipulator using a LEGO constructor can help students develop programming, mechanics, and robotics skills, as well as prepare them for future careers in these fields.
