I researched a lot of different presentations and interactive digital textbooks in Mozabook, which is educational presentation software for interactive boards, and GoLabz, which is interactive space for virtual scientific experiments. I had decided to show my students these web tools to acquaint them with different possibilities to implement real life situations and experiments into digital world and present them ways how computer science and programming can be useful in discovering natural environment and adopting knowledge from all kind of subjects and disciplines.
On
Wednesday, the third day of the event, students participated in a workshop
presenting to them web tools MozaBook and GoLabz. The tools were introduced to
them and shown how those can be used to model real life experiments and
discover useful information in an interesting interactive way. In MozaBook,
which is a program that lets users explore interactive models of buildings, shapes
and other thing useful in learning, students found information that could help
them prepare to their exams, looked into it and considered the ways the program
could be working and created. In GoLabz, which is space for carrying out
virtual experiments, students tried to model experiments related to the Maths,
Physics and Chemistry curriculum. They were really impressed with the tools and
said that they would definitely use in their studies.
